I did think Amy's version of the song was more fun. While I liked reading about London and imagining what was described (and very much wished I could be there seeing it in person) this is how I felt about what was going on around it. MY THOUGHTS: This was one of those books where the setting is more impressive than the story's plot itself.

It looks like Amy just can't get a break. But when it looks like things are in the clear and she's about to make her big debut, another monkey wrench is thrown into the plot. But their schedule is so rigid -as the teachers have planned something practically every minute-they she just might miss out on her opportunity. He wants to meet up with her when they get there. A famous songwriter just so happens to be in London and takes interest in their song (in particular Amy and her voice). They make up when she agrees she was wrong and they'll use his. Amy's changed John's lyrics because she thinks his suck. Amy and John are fighting over a song they wrote together. Shannon is a little worried that she won't be able to afford the trip, but it all gets worked out quickly. PLOT: The girls of Alma Private School and some of their teachers are going on a class trip to London (home of William Shakespeare) to see some famous historical sites & enjoy some British delicacies.
